Thick film ceramic PCB Print Circuit Board includes gold and dielectric pastes, which is done on a ceramic base material, and the pastes and backed at a temperature of 1000 degrees Celsius or below after working. So the thick film ceramic PCB is widely used for most PCB manufacturers because of the high cost of gold conductor paste.

Performance requirements
(1) Mechanical properties
With high enough mechanical strength, it can also be used as a support member in addition to mounting components; good workability and high dimensional accuracy; easy to achieve multi-layering;
Smooth surface, no warping, bending, micro-cracks, etc.
(2) Electrical properties
High insulation resistance and insulation breakdown voltage;
Low dielectric constant;
Low dielectric loss;
Stable performance under high temperature and high humidity conditions to ensure reliability.
(3) Thermal properties
High thermal conductivity;
The thermal expansion coefficient is matched with the relevant material (especially the thermal expansion coefficient of Si);
Excellent heat resistance.
(4) Other properties
Good chemical stability; easy to metallize, and strong adhesion of circuit patterns to them;
No hygroscopicity; oil and chemical resistance; small a-ray emission;
The substances used are non-polluting and non-toxic; the crystal structure does not change within the operating temperature range;
The raw materials are abundant; the technology is mature; the manufacture is easy; the price is low.
There is a confusion about how many layers in a ceramic PCB, but it is decided by the types of ceramic PCB. The minimum number of layers used in ceramic PCB is two layers, however, there may be some more layers according to the product’s properties.
