What is LED PCB?
LEDs are light emitting diodes, that is, semiconductor diodes. The LEDs are soldered to a printed circuit board with a chip that produces light when electrically connected. Heat sinks and ceramic bases are used to bond the chips. Because LED PCBs tend to generate heat, cooling is required. Metal core and aluminum PCB have the characteristics of strong heat dissipation, so they are widely used in LED applications. Aluminum PCBs contain a thin layer of thermally conductive dielectric material that transfers and dissipates heat with greater efficiency.
Now SMD package type is the main package form of LED. It can only be applied to light emitted by a single LED assembly. So a single light fixture will use multiple LED components to get enough light. Like other semiconductor devices, PCBs are the best way to electrically connect LED components.
